In August 2020, when SJS Hospital opened its doors for the first time, it carried within it a simple yet profound vision: that quality healthcare should be accessible to all, regardless of financial circumstances. Under the guidance of our founder, Shri. C. N. Katkade, and established through the R.J.S. Foundation, we set out to create something different—a hospital where every patient receives the care they deserve.
What began as a multi-specialty facility offering general surgical and neurological services has blossomed into a comprehensive healthcare center. Within just 18 months of our inception, we inaugurated our state-of-the-art Cath Lab, followed shortly by our CVTS operation theater for major cardiac surgeries. We established a Cancer Center in 2022 and continuously enhanced our diagnostic capabilities—from basic pathology and imaging to advanced CT and MRI services.

That’s why we’ve embraced the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana, extending its benefits to every eligible patient. For treatments not covered under government schemes, we ensure our rates remain genuinely pocket-friendly.

Through government healthcare schemes, patients and their attendants receive wholesome, homely meals throughout the day—from breakfast to dinner, and even milk at night. We ensure this food is prepared with care, because proper nutrition is essential to recovery. We provide free transportation from the nearest bus stop because we know that reaching the hospital shouldn’t be another hurdle. These thoughtful touches reflect our fundamental belief that dignity and comfort are essential to healing.
Today, SJS Hospital stands as a beacon of hope for patients seeking treatment for cardiac conditions, neurological disorders, orthopedic problems, cancer, and much more. Our dialysis unit has served patients since day one. Our highly equipped casualty department ensures emergency care is always within reach. We’ve integrated physiotherapy services and honor India’s time-tested medical wisdom through our dedicated Ayurveda practice section, offering complete Panchakarma treatments alongside modern medicine.
Our commitment extends into the community through regular blood donation drives, free health check-up camps, complimentary sonography and blood test services. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we rapidly expanded to 120 beds, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with our community in their darkest hours.
